I'm thinking about starting to ship coral to buyers on other forums/ebay. There is so much information out there and differing viewpoints on the best and most economical way to ship. Anyone here have experieinces they can share?
Lately, my Valentini has just been lying on the rocks and refusing to eat. His swimming is slow. I was able to get him out of the display and into the hospital tank but not sure what to treat him with. Any suggestions? All other fish and inverts in display are healthy.
So now that the a/c and fans are off, I'm noticing a distinct smell. Kind of smells like rotting algae for lack of a better description. Everything in tank is fine.
I'm starting to think this is just the result from keeping 4 tanks, a sump and the kids' Betta fish in the same isolated room...
Sorry to bring up an old thread. I'm contemplating starting a pico tank in my office (office office, not home office). Looking for advice from those that have made these setups? How much a headache is it going to be? I don't want to be chasing perameters or constantly toping off and doing...
As I am growing my new system (and getting older) I find that I often forget coral names as they move around my frag tank and make their way into the display tank.
Anyone have good ideas on how to keep track of corals?
So it seems like Petco Brick beats the reputation. Are there any Petcos closer to Union County that we can expect good quality? I travel to Absolutely FIsh every now and then (and am a Reefer Member) but is there anything closeer for when my wife (and kids) don't want me to give up half a...
Just wanted to give a shout out to Dynaic Tank. THey helped me tremendously with my build (check out my build thread). Their customer service is excellent. I don't think there is a day in the past month that I didn't talk to Marc, the owner--usually by text after 10pm at night when I retutned...
After a ton of research, I decided to get the wine coolers to keep the Reef Nutrition Food cold and use an Apex DOS to autofeed. I am concerned about logistics, however.
I have three tanks plumbed into one sump: (1) a 65g predator reef (in process of building, currently just has a small picasso...
Like new reef ready 40g Breeder with Modular Marine Bean Animal Overflow. Was about to set this up but switched to a 65 gallon at the last minute. My loss is your gain.
$120. Local pick up in Central NJ only.
Does anyone know where I can get a paid of glasses to help view the corals through the blue lights. Like the ones theyhave at shows? I tried picking up a pair of orange safety glasses from Amazon but it just made everything look orange and not the pop I was looking for.
Just fininshing up the set up on my upgrade and have a lot of equipment no longer needed. Some are used and some I picked up thinking I would use it but went a different direction. My loss is your gain.
1) Jebao 4 head autodosing pump. Brand new, never used. $100.
2) Reefkeeper Lite $100...
Thinking of converting my garage to a fish room. It is south facing, so it gets real hot in the summer. In the winter, it is almost freezing. Anyone have any luck converting this space to a fish room and if so, how?
Used light, perfect for Nano tank. It is programable and has built in sunset/sunrise settings and effects such as thunderstorm and rolling clouds--$100
New Aqua C Urchin skimmer, still in box--$100
Pictures coming
As I am setting up my new system, I am intrigued about automatic feeding systems. I like the videos of using the Neptune DOS to automatically feed frozen food but don't want to spend the extra money. I have an extra Jebao sitting around and could use that but should I worry about food rotting...
Hi Everyone,
I currently have a BioCube with a DIY sump and a 10 gallon frag tank. I recently picked up a 40g breeder at the PetCo $/gallon sale and decided to build a predator reef. I am going to plumb all three tanks into a single 55 gallon sump. This will present some challenges in terms of...
As I am going working on my upgrade, I have a lot of various equipment I no longer need:
Prices are for local pick up in New Jersey, will also ship if buyer pays shipping costs:
