Off topic, but what's your coral qt set up? I am going to start getting new fish again (hopefully) so will need a separate coral qt and I am low on space. I've never really qt'd coral before, but I want NO problems in the new build.
I had the Jbao Tunze clones. I wasn't so impressed.
I have a current dc return pump, which is great (assuming you are not in an all in one). I'll be getting rid of that as soon as my new tank is ready, if you are able to wait.
I have done 3 doses of Dino X and have been dosing H202. No dent. I have the GFO and carbon off as per Dino X instructions.
Phosphates are now at .29 (Hanna) and Nitrates are now at 40 (API).
@Mike S, this one of the reasons I want to start the new 180 all new as opposed to bringing things...
I have been battling this algae (brown cyno?) since treating my tank with Fenbendazole to kill off Xenia. Tank also sometimes gives off a musty smell, making think it *could* be some sort of cyno. My zoas and pallys have seem to have died since treatment and this outbreak as well. Any help...
No, I am using new everything. I thought about reusing rock and water. But I don’t want to introduce any problems from this tank into the new one.
In preparation for the move, I used a dewormer to kill off Xenia that was taking over my rocks so I could put the rocks in the new tank without...
Exactly this. Sorry for the delayed response everyone. Life got in the way.
I was getting a custom tank from Planet which is in Texas...

I am breaking down my current setup (a 65g, BioCube 14 and 10g Frag tank all plumbed together) and replacing it with a custom made 180 gallon. The separate tanks were too much of a headache. Every week was another issue, whether the overflow on the biocube/10g failing to different problems in...
If you're referring to the tank size, my system is currently a 65 gallon predator reef (dwarf lion that now eats frozen food, snowflake eel, and some larger fish), this 14g biocube which had more docile fish and a 10 gallon frag, all plumbed into a 55g sump. I'm replacing them all with a 180...
I am in the process of taking down my complex three tank system and upgrading to 180 gallon, so I have a lot of stuff to get rid of (and a lot more expensive things to buy). I'll update this thread as i take down more.
First round, I have:
IceCap battery backup. This was never really used...
