Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
A few years into the tank now- all the usual stuf- dinos, hair algae etc, fish and corals lost- fish are understandable, corals are anothet thing- you think lighting is fine, parameters are fine, but some just wither and die- even those that everyone say are 'bulletproof', then one day someone...
More in a week, a giveaway turned into a trade. I got to see @Bear82 's tanks- really nice- some great frags/ display tank corals, and a generous guy too Thanks Steve
Took another one today with @Salted . Like to keep any eye on his tank lol. Wanted to check out Coral Garage- pm'd him- no response, off to Mike's in Parsippany ( find him on craigslist) a lot of coral- some you won't see in any LFS- prices are decent- got a few corals, got a green Kenya tree...
You would get us closer to free shipping- I'd have to check, but I may be able to hold along with @ericrodriguez - are you guys close and can figure it out?
Taking a roadtrip with @Salted tomorrow to check out a new local vendor for corals and see what we see. will post tomorrow after- price is great for the torches and QCC has a bunch of frags for under $15- some are wysiwyg- also running a sale- LMK if you are interested in getting in on a group...
Anyone ever buy from them- Couldn't resist clicking on the $15 frags on FB- free shipping on $299 and 10% off on the first order- also $50 black light torches- all very tempting- anyone want to combine an order
I've lost mine several times since I started- the last time was when I broke my ankle and could'nt bend over or carry anything- Got a new culure on ebay- check it out. I could ship, but it might be easier/ better for you taht way- let me know
There are a couple that are in the vendor forum and some that aren't- Lakesidereefing.com in Oakland, Exoticreefsofnj.com is in Saddle Brook and there is Feng's Reef in Dunellen along with Mike in Parsippany ( you can find him on Craigslist)
A local lfs would probably take the cloves- mine would. Just scrape the shrooms off the rock with a knife- the ones in crevices would be hard though. I have a shroom cage to get them to re attach
The problem most of us have is visualizing coral growth. The cloves would be fine in a large tank- other kinds of cloves don't multiply or get as big as those. I'd gladly take your shrooms if you ever want to get rid of them- maybe trade for a small yuma.
