Would trade for IA ( think it is 29/30 gallon range) all in one tank. Want to get nem clown tank going soon. 75 was just to big for space I wanted to put it.
Thank you to all who have served this country. My father did 28.5 years and 4 tours in nam, sister was in marines. I tried marines and army but couldn't enter due to hearing issues (holes in eardrums, can't go under water w/o earplugs. Sucks I really wanted to follow in my fathers footsteps...
Currently their is a guy with an AquaEuroUSA chiller and another guy with a Current chiller. Both guys want around the same price, but I am wondering if it would just be best to buy a new one
I know I am going to need bigger chiller. Been looking online at a few. I saw a guy has a 1hp AquaEuroUSA chiller. Does anyone have one or know if they are a good brand. I have a pacific coast imports chiller (1/4 hp) but it is going to be way to small for new tank.
Any input would be great.
Well tank is up and running, and fast. Can't believe the glue I am getting from just the returns. Have to adjust the stand pipes, make them a little higher to help quote it down a little. Added some smart start to help cycle (I know most people don't like that, but I have always used it and...
Yes just google Marco rocks. It's in the web page. I had to wait about a month because they were sold out. I have used it twice. I actually called them both times and they were super nice. The rush ordered it for me first time no charge, and second time I called and the called back when it was...
Carib sea sand. Dry sand, not "live". I ordered it at LFS, I checked online and one site had 20 lbs bags for $17 and $20 for shipping (10 bags) and another had it at $35 lol. I double checked price, maybe it was a typo. My LFS was $19 a bag. rather give business to local guys if price is close.
I have used it on dry and wet rock. I will say it is much easier to use on dry rock. I feel it bonds better when rock is dry. Other than that it works great.
Thank you guys for all the great comments. I still have to add all the strapping for the pipes (probably tomorrow before work). I always do that due to the wieght odd the water so it doesn't stress joints.
Going to have main pump running by Thursday.
It's about 150-200 lbs of rock. I am going to add some rock to the fuge (75 gallon in room behind tank) and also a mix of rock ruble and crushed coral in reactor area off sump.
rock and sand are in, RO is slowly filling up. Thank you to Jason Verna with all the help forming/ cementing rock and helping me get it in the tank. And a big thank you to my son, Christian, for helping with all the heavy lifting.
