Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I think in alot of the shrooms the bubbling or bouncing, is a defense against the intense lighting. You never really saw this before leds. I think it's like how we get tan, they swell up to try to protect the body. And like us it can become a "cancer" where it becomes a part of its cellular...
I
I know chaeto can have. And so can calerpa, that's y I said besides those two.. I'm asking more about the leafy decorative types like youd see in a display, the red, blues and other bright leafy types. Genuinely curious.
Boom. Only 2 of the 4 I've ever given out. One went to my dad and one to my friend john.
This is one of my favorite shrooms. On the more mature shrooms it gets a nice yellow outer ring.
Is he flicking himself against the sand and rocks? He could have gill flukes. And the scratches on his body are from him rubbing the rocks/sand. If you can get him out and do a freshwater dip for 2 min. If it has fill flukes they should release on the fresh water.
I guess you cant dip macro algae. Lol
But do the non clumping (like chaeto and calerpa) ever have pests on/in them? I've never heard of anyone really ever complaining about that..
If you wanted to know about decorative "sticks" I'd be your guy. Haha. But I dont know much about the macros. Hopefully someone here will have an answer for you. I know there is someone else looking to get some too. Where are you located in Jersey?
I think I may have 2 or 3 synergy reef overflow units in my basement. I'll have to take a look if your interested. They were gonna go on a tank my dad was building but decided to wait.
I actually made my own overflow box.. when I upgraded my sump. Wanted a little more flow and a safety drain, which I didnt have prior. (And had a few close calls too lol)
Run the external, if you have the room behind the tank.. It has such a smaller footprint inside the tank. And definitly go with 3 hole bean animal. Even the eshopps unit is really nice.
I pretty much always run my po4 between .08 and .12 as my target. So .1 shouldn't be too concerning. 1.0 would be concerning lol. But glad things are getting better.
Sometimes user simplified isnt always best. I like to be able to adjust my ph within the reactor using a ph controller, without having to count bubbles to adjust for different loads and then the ability to change the effluent rate to make smaller tighter adjustments. The use of the kamoer...
Yup. I love it. honestly the best investment I ever bought. Now the reactor I got is rated for 600g reef, same with the new skimmer and sump built. So this way I have everything I need to upgrade my display and add a few more frag tanks down the road. But with the reactor being so big the...
