    DeLs 50g Cadlights

I like the simple sump design. Is the drain ported straight into the skimmer? What will you use then extra hole in then wall for?

    Snails and algae

Adding nutrients to support your cuc is confusing concept for me. My nassarius do wipe the glass once in a while, but not as often as i do and it may just be for exercise. They are great for hoovering up uneaten food very immediately which is a good thing unless you've got some finicky mudders...

    Boxed Mangroves

yea just will need to make sure the roots don't find the strainers. I;m happy with the way the overflow turned out overall but I already know one eventual weakness is zero service access. Thanks for the ideas

    Boxed Mangroves

Started up this 40G Breeder in July and just ordered some mangroves. Tank has a single back center overflow box and since its a bean animal I needed to oversize it a bit to fit the 3 bulkheads. I thought that made for a good opportunity to establish 3 or 4 mangroves inside the box that could...

dunno if u decided to add fuel maybe that would explain the NH3 high, imho id watch wait and drink until you get to yellow or else add a fish at 4wks without a guilty conscience

    Iron

Reason I ask is probably a more interesting observation to share; I've got a non pulsing Xenia that is will be a centerpiece of my DT which is set up in the family room, so i am often close by in the evening to watch the Yankees at the time when I have the dosing pumps set to do their thing...

    Iron

Thanks yea I totally agree with dosing against the uptake that was one of the best takeaways I learned from Red Sea. But before that I need some uptake :) only got a few really nice softies and frags going so far in this new one; but I do plan to go mixed. Thanks for the articles too I'm...

    Iron

Hi all, new to this place have enjoyed the threads so far. Question do you guys normally test/dose for Iron? In my prior tank I was using that Red Sea colors kit and found that it was at undetectable levels any 2 different test kits so was dosing pretty heavy according to that program...
