Thanks for the comments. I think I’m going to let the current hair algae die out, by not giving it any light and when that happens I will buy some more chaeto and will feed my tank some of the nutrients that amado recommended.

It gets a small amount of flow. When I first dropped it in the sump it tried to go over the baffle But my sponge filter prevented it from doing so. This is why I tucked it under a small piece of rock.

This is the best that I can do. My sump is right underneath my tank.

I like the idea of some snails in the sump. I never thought about that one before. I also just ordered a timer for my light. I’ve read many different opinions about refugium lighting and will try the opposite schedule lighting approach. I will keep you guys posted. thanks

Well, I got my new tds meter today and I hooked it up. I can constantly purify water between zero and one ppm. This unit seems to be more accurate compared to the tds pen. My tank looks so much better since I got the new Rodi replacement kit.

These are pictures of my actual rodi unit. The canisters look like they need to be changed out to me. I ordered new replacement canisters for everything for everything. This should fix my problem.
