Currently using reef crystals and so,far I havent noticed anything to crazy with my chemistry ot is possible that because I don't have an auto top off that the slight daily fluctuation could be causeing some stress.
As for doseing I do dose buffer but not to offend as I haven't had any real need...
Lately my tank has been doing good, everything appears to be healthy and the water chemistry has been stable but I am just not seeing the results that make me feel comfortable saying the tank is thriving.

The above was found in my good buddies refugium tank. Its roughly 2 and a 1/2 inches long with tenticles coming out of its side's and just appeared.

I am having this similar issue with my,sump.. I have three chambers one for the intake where the water flows in,threw the media the next the refugium and the third the skimmer and return pump.
The third is always the lowest and because I don't,have an ATO at the moment fluctuates the most...

Hair algae is usually a sign of phosphates I thought. I am assuming these corals have been established in,the tank for some time and arent new additions.
But hammers frog spawn and,torches are all Euphyllia and as such all have the same vulnerablity.
