Its sounds like a no brainer move. Heck you wont have to sell later to retire either. Best of luck. Maybe Steve can help you, he's in SC I believe.

I think it is way down. Bubbling use to drop the tds a lot. Now without bubbling its only 3. When these batched are done, I'm going to bubble for a week and see if the tds of 3 drops. Hows the tank? I have to see it.

How to lower TDS and improve water quality

Making first RO and DI water since the new well. After making a fresh 25 gallons through the RO system, my TDS is 3. Before my TDS was 14 after bubbling for a week. Never has a TDS number for previously fresh RO water, but it must of been much higher than 14. My DI was do for replacing before...

    Freshoffthegrill's 120G Reef Tank

Drain wise, I am a big fan of the Herbie method. Its silent and moves a lot of water. It uses a full siphon and has a back up emergency drain. Reef Central has a nice thread on its principals.

How to lower TDS and improve water quality

My old well was only about 50 ft and full of iron. I always bubble my ro water a week before running it though the DI. The new well is down 285 feet. Supposedly really nice water.

Rob's time for an upgrade 180

On my built in weir, the water is going through at the 3/4 mark on the teeth. The top of the weir is about a 1/4 inch from the top of the tank. This keep the water level about an inch from the top overall. By slowing or increasing the return control valve, I can raise or lower the water level...

    Heater education and recommendations?

When you think about the money you have in your tank, a few hundred dollar controller is great insurance against a heater designed to eventually fail. Plus they are a fun toy. Apex support is top notch in case you run into problems.

    I need some opinions (help)

I'd go 220...other than the reach, everything else is better...:) Add 4-6 inches of rock minimum and you wont even notice. Think of how that sucker will look...if you get the 180, you will be kicking yourself in 6 months...
