Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I mix a certain amount(depending on dip instructions) in with some fresh (or if you're doing a WC you can use your discarded tank water) salt water. throw in a small PH & a mini heater for 10-20 mins. then I dip in fresh water, then trinse off in clean SW and put it into the tank. I don't drip...
sounds like a great idea, only issue is what's the shipping look like. last I heard ARC (club doing group buy) was getting a quote for shipping to them. but no idea how much and it was a per unit shipping price, not a flat fee.
edit:
unless you're placing the controller in direct view of...
it seems rock solid honestly. my only gripe is on W1 at full blast you can hear it from ~10ft away. people in the RC thread have complained about that as well, and some have said after a week or so it subsides so we'll see
I got mine on friday. it's replacing an MP10 & a koralia 1400. I still have the 2nd MP10. I'm seeing sand cyclones randomly :). The MP10 is on the back of the tank on reef crest 90% and the WP40 I have on full blast on "else" mode. its pointed up & towards the front glass. I had it on...
You could try to line under the tank with a rope light that goes completely around the tank? if you get creative you could even hookup a pressure switch so it only clicks on when the doors are open :)
the one I linked says it goes down to 15v but when you receive the actual item it goes down to 12V(this has happened multiple times in the thread so far. it's cheap & works perfectly. most of the thread says not to go below 12V as the controller wont work anymore.
I feel bad we've made your...
no no news yet, a lot of people were waiting for just this info. Ill wait until it's posted on fish street before I say it's too small/big for what size tank. until then these "official" numbers are garbage imo. but i hope they're wrong
yep, I got one for my 90 & picked up that power supply...
nah they already released the specs on the WP25. they're lower than people expected. msot people are picking up that variable power supply & running it at 12V instead of 24V to get half power for smaller tanks(40-65G range)
here's the stats
it's about half of what an MP10 can do. seems to...
just one definitely. & it's probably overkill. the flow on those has been compared to 1.5 or 2 MP40s. In a 4ft tank in the W1 mode on the controller & it dialed in right, you can create a 3 inch wave lol. I'd HIGHLY reccommend that if you're going to get the WP-40 you also order this adjustable...
