    Brine Shrimp Confusion

    The baby brine shrimp are most nutritious after hatching then they need to have supplements added to enhance their nutritional value. BBS is supposed to be great for fry. Adult brine shrimp are mainly protein. What I've mainly see sold in LFSs are adults.

    I couldn't agree more. It drove me crazy trying to distinguish one shade from another. The Hanna Checker was the way to go. The Ca, Mg, and alk are more accurate because there is a definite color change that indicates the level your parameter is at. downbeach is spot on.

    How and what do you use to collect the amphipods? Are you looking in mud flats of a creek? This sounds like something I can have the kids do when the temps get a little warmer. Maybe they'll even learn something.

    I agree with Chris what are your water parameters saying? Also I'm not a big fan of sand in the fuge it becomes a detritus sink and causes al sorts of problems.
