the cloudyness has cleared and with the fan/controller temps have been staying within the 77-80degree range.
is there a specific degree range in which can effect corals/fish?
i cleaned mine thoroughly with a 25% bleach:water mix with a cheap toothbrush thoroughly. then boiled it in a pot, rotating for about an hour, then i did the procedure 2 days after drying in the sun not outside. then after day 7 in it went no problems and seeded fine with my other 4-5month old...
ha. i would hope they would refund me my money i lost on all the dead live stock. but they could easily pin it on some other variable within our tanks.
btw, i retrieved the link from whitebird1 post: http://www.garf.org/index_archive.html
whitebird's tanks/corals are AWESOME and he stated he thinks the calculators work awesome. so my thoughts? HOW COULD I GO WRONG?
questions:
a) how early is too early to start adding corals? i will start off with zoas at day 28
of course, it will depend on water paraments and using seachem to supplement.
going to be my routine for supplement every wednesday/sunday+water change 10-15% using tropic marine pro salt.
Tank...
it depends on how much your willing to spend. next time around i will go with either cadlights, solona or elos mini. rimless is pure sex and the tanks above are made quite well. though they are in the upper range of cost.
jr - where did you buy the fans? i was thinking of buying the azoo fans from eBay they look pretty efficient. and i just need my temps lowered about 2-4 degrees to put me at 78-80
yeah. thats what i'm currently doing but the fan is on 24/7 cause the temps are staying pretty high. i think it would cut off and on too often. i can wait 4 weeks when the temps begin to lower before i setup everything with livestock.
thanks for the comment mnat!
for some reason it's still EXTREMELY cloudy. i don't mind so much cause i'll be doing a 50% water change every week for the next 3 weeks before absolutely any livestock goes in.
haven't really thought of doing a test on water as of yet cause i find it pointless when i have to go through cycle...
