I've been using the lye method and it seems to be working quite well. I just have so many still and I don't want to put too much lye and kalk in my tank at once. I try to do it every other day.

I've always agreed with this!! My Sailfin tang had the beginnings of HLLE....I stopped using carbon and it healed completely!! Great to know someone finally proved it.

The bill I just got is for $151.....with no tank....that seems ridiculous. And I wasn't hear for a full week in August, so I turned everything off, including unplugging stuff!!
