I was going to ask the same thing.

The one I have is an old 180 with the recirc. and gate valve mod. I haven't had to touch it in months. Did you look for a used one?

I have no experience with the Gen X. I run the Sedra 3500.

Whatever model you decide on, I would do the recirc. mod if it don't come with one.

I have both. I like them both for different reasons. The MTC has a becket and the ER has a needle wheel. I've had to do less adjustments with the ER. They are both comparable.

Most of our sponcers would have the MRC.
