since you are the expert in this area :), how do you apply carbon into the tank? just bag it and put it in the tank? i currently have carbon in "the little fishy" reactor chamber. I have a lot of carbon ready for this just need suggestion on how to apply it properly.

I need help ID this green algea on my rock. The tank has been up for november, 2009. I added rock in december, 2010. I used to have a brown algea when I added rocks.one day it was gone. 2 weeks ago, this green algea start to show up.

the bleach is breaking down all the organic stuff then the acid further remove the organic residual and heavy metal. with acid you do not need to rub the rock in cleaning :)
this is what I just did to my rock.
1) Bleach the rock: 1/10 ratio. 1 gallon of bleach to 10 gallons of tap water. soak the rock for 1 day. make sure you have pump in your container to move the water around.
