Need a good suggestion for a stand for a 120 Gal

Rocket Engineer's design and layout is awesome. I'm so tempted to try it my self. My problem is doing the quality skining part. I saw Hockeynuts stand a couple of days ago and was very impressed. It a fine piece of furniture. And I love his lighting system too!

    Pump question

As part of a aquarium purchase I made last week, I received the following pump. The tank, pump and Ocean Motion were never used but were in storage for about 6-7 years. I called the pump company and they think its an older model Barracuda. Does anyone know if it will work well in a basement sump...

    Pump advice

Would the Diablo DC 10500 Pump be adequate for a basement sump (about 10-12 ft of head) and a 180 tank? I know they are rated for 16.5 max head, was wondering if the flow would be enough.

    Paint recommendation

Thanks for the reply's. It is painted Sheetrock. We are fans of Behr and the eggshell finish would work out fine. I might add some plexi to the wall by the water line just to keep it clean.

    Paint recommendation

I removed a large wall shelf from my home office wall and this is where my 180 will go. I was wondering what type of paint I should use to protect it. I was even thinking of mounting a thin acrylic protective sheet over the new paint around the water line. I was thinking Kilz. You thoughts...

What lights are you running and what's your experience with them?

I'm in the process of setting up an acrylic 180 (6ft long, 24 inch wide) that is euro-braced and has acrylic lids. I want to go LED. Are there any issues with the bracing and lids causing problems with the light penetration etc? . I want a clean modern minimal type look, possibly Kessils. Thanks

    Buyer beware!!!!!!!

Went there looking to buy a fairly large tank and trimmings and asked for some printed info on their different tanks and basically got blown off. I realize they get lots of tire kickers, but can you really do this in business these days. That one move probably cost them thousands...I have to go...

Welcome To NJRC! Take a minute to introduce yourself

Hi, thought I'd introduce myself. I found this site through reefcentral. I was in the hobby in the 80's with a fish only tank. A founding member of the then Ocean Country Aquaist Club. Which I'm sure is defunct. One of the editors from the fish book out of Neptune NJ was involved. My salt...
