Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
kinda off topic - but you mentioned a mandarin. Unless you have an ability to feed it in the QT - I would not bother QT'ing a mandarin simply because it needs to eat live food (except the $$$ ORA ones).
and yeah that's not a maroon. I've got a female clown that is very dark in color like...
They basically use their tendrils (is that what you call them?) or whiskers to sift thru the sand looking for things to eat. In a deep sand bed supposedly this is not ideal since they basically eat the very fauna that helps to keep the sandbed (supposedly) clean. But I think generally speaking...
Hahah - yeah well you know where I work, so i have to keep from going crazy.
i know this is a vinegar dosing thread but you mentioned above about vodka. sorry should have quoted it for context! :)
anyways - tagging along!
connect a small tube to it (essentially raising the hole). Keep the tube away from the tank and adjust the height of the tube to get the right noise level.
mark the reason why vodka didn't work for you is that you didn't read the fine print. You are supposed to dose the tank and not that glass cup next to the tank for yourself. ;)
So who has the clams to pay for this beauty?

but my wallet...
i love fishfish but they are skittish and will jump. I would only add them as the first wave of fish - not later when you already have fish in the tank. It can be done but you're reducing your odds for success. They also like bolt-holes in LR - you can make them via pvc if you want. Anyways...
if you like the blue spot - couldn't you get another? Jawfish usually live in communities anyway - at least the pearly jawfish does. With others around they tend to key on the lead and if one is out and about - the others come right out.
i hate bubble algae. It commonly forms on the frag plugs etc that you can't see at the LFS but after you bring it home - starts to grow (even after dipping).
