    Odd behaviors

Thirty-five something years ago my two Engineer Gobies tried to kill a really nice blue carpet anemone by covering it with sand. While I do admit that I love Fridmani Dottybacks, I strongly suspect that it is trying to kill the coral it is covering ~ perhaps it had been previously stung by it...

Looking to borrow a 48" T5 fixture for a short time.

I have a 2-bulb 48" T5 you're welcome to for free. But, I'm in 07039, and rarely head south these days.

Up for grabs - round 1

Hmmm... are your "rakes" actually long algae scrapers? I find I periodically need to level the sand in my DT, and I've been using some of wifey's* kitchen utensils. But, I actually already have two long scrapers (duh)! Thanks you for nudging my aging brain... (Leveling Explanation: I have 4...

ANNOUNCEMENT, THOUGHTS - New 3d forum and member service

I'm interested in one that looks a little like this. Could you modify the print out and make one with a mouth and NO vocal cords?

    Aquarium swap meet

I really like the idea! But, November might be a little chilly for frags ~ we'd have to provide electricity for people to heat their frag tanks with. Maybe we have a member who could us lend us a generator for such an event? (Or, maybe Global Warming could accelerate and see us through...)...

    Drums

The photos show some sort of black thingy under each drum on the lower level. What is it? Is it some sort of wheelie device for the drum? Caveat for any fellow NJRC Scavengers... The clips on the drums are for clamping the tops onto the drums. They are metal, and they will eventually rust...

Lears comin coming back online after a total wipeout.

If it isn't too late, I suggest you build 2x4 platforms for your sump and stock tank. When you reach my age the last thing you're going to want to do is bend over either one to work on it.

Woo Hoo - I can get it On-Line!

Is that offer for the Bryopsis or the Valonia? Will the trade be by weight? (My Mitrax Crabs are running a little low an Valonia).

Woo Hoo - I can get it On-Line!

Indeed! A much needed source for Valonia! (But, I've already, actually got enough of my own ~ PM me if you'd like some of mine for free (unless I can't find any because my three Mithrax Crabs have totally done their job!).

Intrigued by Bryopsis? Duh... Perhaps my thread description should have been "Some People can be Duped into Buying Anything"?

    TSM Aquatics

I must admit that I've yet to visit their facility. (And, I do indeed want to go.) But, I've found it odd that their facility is so large, and that their on-line fish offering seems oddly, proportionally smaller. Anyone else sensitive to this? Also, has anyone seen their quarantine...

Here's another tool for you all...

Came across this today. It immediately occurred to me that a fragger, or someone checking for small nasties, or someone doing maintenance on small parts, (or who knows what else), could use this in their reef toolbox. It might even offer some measure of eye protection for people who mess with...
