What should the PH be in a calcium reactor with course media?

Ahhh... good idea, I never thought of testing the effluent DKH. I bumped the Ph down to 6.5 last night, retested tonight and found littel or no drop in Cal or DKH. I guess the course media likes a little less Ph. Thanks for the help Mbodell!

What should the PH be in a calcium reactor with course media?

It's A.R.M. course media, I can lower the Ph, I have a controller to activate it, so no problem there, just afraid to go too far and make mush ;D Question is, what is "Too far"

What should the PH be in a calcium reactor with course media?

I have only used the small sized media up till now, decided to try the course and even with the PH at 6.6 in the reactor and almost a stream of effluent coming out, it's not even close to maintaining calcium, DKH and MG levels. I'm wondering if the course media needs a lower Ph? Thanks!
