See. I asked the sales guy at the time why the strips weren't stronger "C" or circles.
I was told, because this example was further along juvenile.

I would seriously talk to the owner at acc,your getting some very bad direction for this hobby.
It's going to put a bad taste in your mouth and make you hate it,but more importantly the course their taking you is going to kill off alot of fish and waste your money.

I found a good pic of the 4 phases of an Emperor transformation,notice the circles stay very viable up until sub adult. You can also look at the koran has an elongated snout where emperor is more blunt when juvenile
Depending on what you paid for it...you may want to ask for a credit at a minimum.

A quick update.
Re the emp/ Koran angel. Despite the verbal conversation and selecting the emp angel in the tank. My receipt has it marked as Koran.
I'll chalk it up to a lot going on at the time and I never bother to pay attention to what was taken out of the what tank.

Fish all seem happy and are eating. I found the missing marine beta yesterday. First sighting in 2 weeks. It's still alive.
My butterfly fish seems to be roughed up. Any thoughts. It's scales look to be ruffled or something

What are your nitrites at?
Butterflies seems to get skin burns if their elevated.
Could also be velvet if it looks like the scales are let's say sliding off the body.
