1st supplement

If there is just one supplement to start dosing, is there a general best one to start with? I've been reading around about all-in-one supplements, so I'm interested to what those here think on that topic.

I've got my 25g cube set up just for corals, so no fish. I haven't done a water change since I set it up. I want to try and get away with not doing them - I know blasphemy to some.

I realize I'm only a couple months in, so maybe a lot of trace elements haven't been used up yet. But so far, I've seen a lot of growth from GSP and zoas. Some of the zoas I got about 2 months ago have gone from 2 to 6 polyps in that time. I've got 2 SPS that I don't know that they are, but they're growing pretty good, have encrusted and are starting to grow upwards. The monti caps I got about 2 months ago all look good, but hard to see growth. My hammer has been growing like crazy, but torch had remained the same for the past year, well before this 25g.

I only have test kits for nitrate, nitrite, ph, ammonia, and calcium. I've read not to dose what you can't test for. So basically I'm looking for a place to start, without getting into tons of bottles and test kits. The 2 things I consistently see people say are kalk and off the shelf all- in-one from kent or salifert etc.

Without getting into a heated debate on the necessity of water changes, is there any advice on a place to starting on dosing? Thanks

Hard to dose blindly. Better to buy the alk test kit and maybe a mag kit and go from there. If your tank doesn't need it there is no reason to dose it. Kind of a double edge sword.

If you want to get away with not doing wc on a small tank with just coral your gonna have to . Dose alk and calc at somepoint. If you did water changes you might get away with not dosing.
