2 Baffle Sump

Can you make a sump with 2 baffles? Would it be as affective ? Reason why I ask is that I acquired a plastic container that would fit under my tank. Dimensions are 11"x11"x8" which I figure is about 4.2 gallons of water. If I use 3 baffles I don't think the return would pump fit. Deciding if I should use this ot go with a hang-on fuge, which holds 3.2 gallons of water.

I made one with 2 baffles and it seems to work fine. The water goes under the first panel and over the second. I don't have any issue with micro bubbles getting back into the display. Like I said, it seems fine.

It really depends on how many gallons per hour you plan on running through it, 11x11x8 is pretty small.
