I really want to get more tenuis corals, my rock structure doesn’t have many low light options for corals and these tenuis are right underneath the water level and in the right flow. Whatever I put up on that tenuis rock grows like crazy, I would love to try one of those really expensive ones like acrolandia or a legit angry bird

Yea and finding the right one is a pain everyone says they got it from “the source” or the guy they got it from got it from the source. But I would rather get it straight from the source or top shelf aquatics so I know it’s really legit.

An accident happened last night, the bulldozer snails got underneath one of my sps colonies and tossed it down from the frag rack right on my zoas, and probably my lobo. The circled part will probably turn pearl white in a day or two and the colony should grow back over the dead spots. It goes to show you not everything in this hobby is fun, but you gotta take the losses with the fun sometimes. The colony will be back better then ever soon.

As expected a decent potion of the coral has succumb to the burning from whatever it fell on. However this gave me a reason to get in the tank again, give some acros a forever home , and also clip the Walt Disney tips that have grown out of the water.

If I see another portion of the colony is in grow mode, I will cut the side that has gone dormant. It heals back over and will start regrowing out of that tip again in my opinion. I do have some corals tho that just encrust and don’t sprout. I have clipped that ones tip multiple times and it just heals and sits there.

Bill Murray is encrusting away, pink lemonade has found the flow and is now growing like a beast towards it. This one mushroom always wants to be a little different from the rest, has the brightest orange and more spots then the rest. Vivids rainbow delight is forever a brown turd. And the poto side chick is the hairiest thing since Sasquatch roamed the earth.

Really trying to get rid of the giant mushroom rock in the front left and replace it with a bare rock so I can get the corals off my frag rack. The next issue is that there are two extremely large favias, mias pot of gold and one similar with pink instead of the yellow, that have attached to the glass and have fused growing up it. A safety blade cannot even get underneath it and between it to pry it off, and this favia is thickkkk. Prob over 7 years of growth down towards the base so I’m afraid the glass is going to break if I try to pry it off.

You could always Kalk paste the edge to stop the growth
