29 biocube pics

super nice. buddy gave me a 29 biocube he found. it was some kind of nitrate factory. i busted out two rear shelves and there was just tons of detritus under there. cleaned it up and have a couple of clownfish in there now. hwta kind of light did you have, how many inches off the top? did you ever do any par readings?

Here was a picture of my cube at its prime. Currently I have an xr15 pro gen 4 at around 80% with one of the common presets. I have the light above the tank like 8 or 10 inches off the water, it’s the radion arm mount so whatever height that is lol. I never did par readings but I would assume everything is getting blasted.

Stopped by the house for the tanks weekly water change and thankfully the Hollywood stunner was the one that got put in its place. For reference I have had the logo for 7 years and that’s the size
Of it, where as the Hollywood stunner grew to that size in a year .

Accidentally nocked into the disneys today . Interesting how much the colors can change, all 4 are the same coral.

There is the momma. When it comes to corals I’m a bit of a hoarder. My nice ones always have backup colonies.

I started with a tricolor nana many many years ago as my first sps and I swear that thing was brown for about a year and a half under t5. It encrusted a lot and then when I switched to halides and vhos it turned into the nicest colony in the tank. Sometimes the easy cheap ones turn into something special when you just keep at it. Your tank looks great!! I see you left a lot of room vertically for growth, a few of the easier to keep stags in the back will help fill that out a lot!
