Thanks all for the nice comments. So yes it was heavy. Really. Got a friend to lend his hydronic lift equipped 8foot bed pick up. Saved a bunch of back pain. We matched the GlassCages lift to the pickup and 6 guys walked it from one to the other. Yes it has a rear overflow wall/weir. It was supposed to go upstairs but my wife put the kabosh on that. So it's in the basement. How? Insanity that's how. Backed pickup over front lawn and lowered lift to match top step. Even then Holy Sh$t! Then it was placed on a previously built sled and a mega quad with an 8k pound winch was used to lower it down the stairs where the friends (ex friends now) slid it to the stand and lifted into place. I have a new sump begging put together to fit a new space but it's going to be a 70 gallon brute water trough with a 20 above it for skimmer. Lots to do. Any experience with such a huge migration (150 to 300) please share.

Glass cages built the tank. You should have seen the quad driven up my steps parked on a 45 degree angle needed it like this to run cable into house to lower the sled down the basement stairs. Crazy but it worked
And Steve do you have a tank set up yet?

Seriously though, Can both tank be run at the same time? That would be ideal since you could likely just get the cycle finished and transfer slowly. Thats basically how I did my upgrade from my 44Gal. The difference though is I used all new rock and only transferred a couple of select pieces to kickstart the cycle. Then I just matched chemistry and temp I moved the corals over a few days and once they were all in I pulled the old rock and moved the fish right over. Ideally that would be your best bet.
Yeah I'm going to do just that. But man am I gonna need water. Combined water to run both will be almost 600 gallons! Trying to get wife to ok it but it's a no go. So I'll be selling my old tank and sump eventually
Not yet Chris. Im still in the planning stages but close to ordering one. Our new house won't be ready until late february or early March so I still have some time before I can set one up.
