45 cube flow

I'm setting up a 45g cube 24"x24"x18" for my son. I have 2 koralia 750's on hand that worked well in my old 44g pentagon but I'm also tossing around other options.

Do you guys think 2xWP10's will get me good flow or should I bump to the WP25's. Also I have a WP40 laying around unused ATM so I guess I could go with one of those as well. Though I believe 2 heads get better random then 1.

I have no interest in spending the money on a vortech here so that's out.

Depending on the corals you are going to stock I would go with one wp25. That's what I have in my 60 cube and it's just right...

I use 2 MP10's on my 45 cube, which I guess will be similar to WP10. I started with 1, which seemed like enough flow, but I didn't like how everything pushed to one side. Once I added the 2nd everything now has a random flow which is more pleasing to my eye. I only run these around 40%, and it's more then enough.

I used 2mp10s on my 30 frag tank. 24x24x12. I ran them at around 40-50%. My neighbor also has the 45cube. He's using 2 mp10s as well.

I run a wp 25 wide open on else mode in a 40 breeder. It is perfect if you wisely select coral placement. That is my only source of flow, and it it's pretty random.

two wp25s on the back glass should do the trick. Will give you the room down the road if you want more flow. I suggest getting the twin controller from jebao or JBWave Maker controller for precise control.

Thanks guys for all the thoughts. As I said I refuse to spend the money on the vortechs anymore plus I want the side clear of obstruction. Defeats the purpose of a cube if you are gonna clutter up the sides of the tank. That would leave me only the back for location and since I cannot direct flow they were not even a consideration.

I'm was leaning towards 2 WP10's one on each side of the overflow but now I'm pretty much sold on 2 wp25's again on each side of the overflow. That will give me all the random flow I could ever want in that tank without breaking the bank as well.

Won't be disappointed, I have my WP25s at 50% and they are moving water.
