So as I progress through my DIY i will show everybody my build. I'm starting with stand and canopy build first then go from there.

so the sump is done need to wait let cure and then water test

Ahh man no way! Ive done that with a stand, but it was closer to a 1/4" and i was able to make it work. Thats a real bummer, at least you didnt skin it up and trim it out.

I think I might switch the stand to the one it came with my sump will fit in there ill just take the molding off and raise it up 2" to cover the bottom frame and so I can use a 1.5" sand bed it will be eye lvl with my trim. Ill fix and sand it all down and stain it. I might go with a cherry or paint it black my wife will make that call. More pictures to come later going to test out the sump for leaks

ok so I filled it up and it holds water now time to drain it and put baffles in.

Do you guys think a 7"•16"•10" is a good enough space for a fuge?

Sounds like plenty of room for some live rock, macro algae and some other stuff. Do you plan on doing anything more that with it?
