A few new fish

This sat my wife and I are going shopping for a few small fish. Id like to get fish that are more rock based instead of the water column. We courently have a lawnmower and a bicolor in that group. Oh, it's a 180 mixed reef mostly non aggressive fish.
Any opinions on cool and social?

If you have a sand bed I always like the Shrimp/Goby pairs. One of my favorites is a Yasha Goby/Red Striped Pistol combo. I'd be careful with the Bicolor Blenny. I read that they can be SPS pickers. I'm going for a Tail Spot I think. Stigmata Blennies are really nice too.

I little fish? I just love this Pike Blenny more and more. He's grown a bit, but still under 2". He hops around the rock, but 90% of the time he's in his tube (old Coco Worm).

They were an option for our cube but I'm not sure how they would work out with the bluespot jaw. The bicolor has been with us for 3 yrs now and has only picked at corals if there is a spot of algae on them. He lives in our hairy shrooms and is real social.
A Midas blenny.... I'll have to google

I thought you were saying that you were considering the Lawnmower and Bicolor Blennies. Even in a 180 I don't think I would do 3 Blennies. The Lawnmower especially can get a bit aggressive.

My rommate has a BSJ in his tank and has 2 pairs of fish/shrimp combos. The BSJ never even looked twice at them.

After seeing the stigmata, I may have To get that.... My lmb is pretty laid back. He shared our previous 75 with a few blennies until our maroon chased them into the big nem we had. Introing a new one might be different though. I think we r gearing toward the yashi pair and the bluespot. That still leaves two for the 180. Since we lost our mandarins of a few years during our Dino issue, maybe well grab one and just leave the other spot to what we see. Maybe a pair of firefish

That's cool too. As far as safe...... I have a flame angel and adult red coris. Two of the worst things for clean up crew and sps...... Not too worried what a blenny might eat in mine....lol

After watching some you tube on yashis, it's a done deal for the cube. What a riot to watch! Now on to the 180... Lol

if you like the blue spot - couldn't you get another? Jawfish usually live in communities anyway - at least the pearly jawfish does. With others around they tend to key on the lead and if one is out and about - the others come right out.

i love fishfish but they are skittish and will jump. I would only add them as the first wave of fish - not later when you already have fish in the tank. It can be done but you're reducing your odds for success. They also like bolt-holes in LR - you can make them via pvc if you want. Anyways just my 2 cents. Good luck!

I don't have one yet but will this weekend. :)
I was thinking about a small group of peaelies for the 180. I saw a vid with about10 of them. They were real fun to watch

Aquatic Obsession has been getting the Stigmatas in. I'm sure if you ask they can try and get another.
