A nice surprise

For a couple of days my watchmen goby has been building or digging a new home, last night I was shocked b/c a pistol shrimp which I put in about 6 months ago appeared with it. I was certain was dead or eaten as I haven't seen it since.

A welcome surprise to a recovering tank.

I know how that feels :).. Just two nights ago i found a peppermint shrimp I hadn't seen in a few months and thought it was a goner

I wonder what that shrimp has been doing all this time? Always a nice surprise to find things that you think have been lost forever.

Over the past several onths my pistol shrimp has become more brazen. He comers out more often, of course with the goby right on him. Post a pic when if you can.

I lost a wrasse for 4 months.. turns out it was living in my rock work and just never had a reason to come out......ever........

We have had pistol shrimp do the same thing. When we moved our 20g we found 2 in there that we thought were dead and had been replaced (so we found 3 total). I hear you with building right next to a place where you can't see them.
