A question

I have a 150 that is healthy. 4 clowns 3 tangs. Inverts ( assorted). I have lots of soft coral growing on isolated little rocks. 2on large rocks. I want to start doing more with stony stuff. The softees are gonna take over all my Rock if I don't move em soon.

So. Can I set up an extra 30 gallon and move my softees over or do I have to cycle it ? No sand I have a small skimmer and sump I can run - if I need too. Not putting any fish in.
:)

Corals add very little biological load to the tank. You would probably be safe to move the soft corals over without cycling. However, if would be recommended that you use some sand or rock from your main tank. The tank will not be healthy long without some live rock to support the waste/feedings.
