Acans not inflating

So I moved one of my acan colonies into a shaded area and they haven't opened since. Do acans need direct light? I was under the impression they would be fine in the shade. Should I move them back into the light or should I give them some time? It's been about 3 days now.

Mine like light. Now I do not have them up at the top of the tank with the sps under LEDs but in a direct line of light on the tank floor ( 55 gal) .

Depends, my red ones love light, my purple ones hate light haha

I have mine on the bottom, but they're under MH's. If they haven't inflated, try moving them and see what happens.

I guess I'll move them back out. I was hoping I could fill some shadows with acans but I guess not.
