Adjustable Flow Submersible Pump

I wanted to know if anyone has experience with adjustable flow submersible pumps.

Are there good ones out there with low noise levels?

I am thinking of replacing my current submersible pump, which is too noisy.

Dave,
I do not know any pump that adjustable on output however, You can buy any quiet pump (i currently search for one too)which strong enough (more than enough is better :)) and put a T with Valve on it to adjust the water output. the excessive water will be route back into your sump with regulated by your valve. Close the valve to increase water flow into your display tank thus less water into your sump. Open the valve to decrease water flow to your display tank thus increase water flow into your sump. take a look at this picture

Thanks. There are some adjustable flow pumps, but it seems as if they are only on the small models.

You don't need an adjustable pump, just put a ball valve on your return line right where it connects to the pump. This won't effect the pump at all it's fine to do, and I don't really know a reefer who doesn't put one on

Have a pic on what that this looks like that you can share?

Pics are to hard for me on here. Sorry. You can get a ball valve at ace, home depot, or lowes. Its white pvc with a red or blue handle. You turn the handle across the pipe to close and put it in line with the pipe to open. Marine depot and foster smith have them too.
