I'm new to the NJ Reefers community and wanted to ask my first question. I'm lokoing to purchase an RO/DI unit and wanted to get any opinions on the different brands. My LFS carries AquaFX. Wanted to hear if anyone has experience with this brand or if I should look to Kent or Spectrapure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Advice on an RO/DI Filter

I'm not familiar with aquafx.
I would say that all RODI are similar, except some have more features that are helpful and others less so.
If your water pressure is bad, you may want to look into one that has a pump to help improve the rejection rate.
I use airwaterice's typhoon extreme 3. It's a wee bit higher in price because it has some additional features (e.g. di bypass, fast flush to improve the membrane lifespan, etc.). I know several people on here use it - probably because a while back we got a club deal as members.
Another thought is where you are going to put this thing - as it is bulky and not easy to hide. So this may impact which brand you choose.
One final thought would be to consider going used, and just replacing the filters.

Hands down i recommend Purewaterclub.com. I have owned 3 units from them and gifted just as many to friends and family. Highhandedly stopped anyone in my family purchasing bottled water. I use them for my personal reef. 0 TDS very cheap and affordable replacement filters and good support. I just got tired of paying for someone elses silkscreen named on the same product.
