Need advice. Presently breaking down my 120 with live rock and fish. Going to be setting up a 180 in a couple of months. Do I quarantine fish or sell them and the live rock should I put it in a brute can or let it dry out? Live rock does have some unwanted palys and tons of detritus.

Shake all the detritus from the rocks one at a time. Place it in Brute can. The rock with palys, acid or bleach the rock. When clean, place in Brute can with cured rocks.

No, just green palys that don't stop growing.

Trade the rocks with other hobbyists lol, don't kill em.

Sell the fish unless they’re hard to replace. I would clean the rocks with muriatic acid and store them dry if you like. Palys are difficult to get rid of.
