Location of the fan in relation to the fins of the heatsink is everything with heat transfer. Have you ever seen a computer with a heatsink mounted on the CPU and the fan mounted under the motherboard?
The heat sink sits above, and collects the heat from the actual LEDs. The fan sucks air up and ducts it over the fins of the heat sinks-the warm air blows out the sides of the units. I am failing to see the problem?
Yea, the fan is on the bottom.
I have not examined one that close. Maybe I can take apart one of yours. J/K
