AI vega settings

Just wondering what percentages you guys are running them at. I've been using them on my current setup for a year now and have great sps growth but kinda feel the colors are slightly drab.

Growth on that one has been insane. The colors don't pop to me tho the garf bonsai I got from you has more of a brown than a purple but great growth

I have Vegas also and have been running them for about a year and a half and have always felt like the colors could be better. Of course water chemistry has a lot to do with color. My tank used to be to clean 0 phosphate 0 nitrate and this could have been the problem. Now I still have phosphate that reads 0 but my nitrate is 5
I'm waiting to see if my colors get better. If they don't in another month or so I will be switching to MH or t5 vega combo.
My lights are
White 60%
All blues 100%
Red and green 25%
They ramp up and down 3 hrs
And go on at 11 am and off at 7 pm
What are you running at? And what are your water parms?

White 50%
Red 20%
Green 20%
Blue 85%
Deep blue 75%
Royal blue 75%
2 hour ramp 8 am to 8 pm
Zero nitrate zero phosphate

I think your water is to sterile like mine was not enough nutrients for the coral to color up. I started the system dr Jim uses about a month ago I can't remember the name maybe someone will chime in with it. My nitrates went up a little and I'm waiting to see how the coral will react.

I'm sure that has a lot to do with it. I only feed once a week,I'm trying to get more in the rhythm of using reef chili 2x a week. I backed off a bit since I was using microvert on my last setup which is like liquid tank pollutant. I have a relatively low bio load on the tank royal gramma, pair of clowns ,couple jawfish, algae blenny, six line wrasse ,and a prawn goby in a 90 gallon

Amino is part of the zeovit system, but like I posted earlier I have only been using it for a month I'm going to give it a little more time.

I was running the vega colors on a 3'x2'x30" when I switched to a 6' tank I added 3 sol whites, color seemed to drown out more, now I am running 3 sol blues and 2 vega colors, very happy with color now. I think my white only is set to a max of about 40% where blues and darker blues are closer to 60% current tank water level is 31" deep. Still running a pair of Vegas on the other tank but not many coral in it.
I'm hosting this months meeting, come by and take a look.
