Algae ID?

So I have ben having an algae issue for a couple months now. It all tarted when I added my CUC from a sponsor. I noticed this algae growing on their shells. I would remove them and scrape off the algae...rinse them and put them back. Then it started on the rocks and then the sand. I have looked at tons of photos and I can't figure out what it is or what will eat it.

It doesn't look like Green Hair. It is not Bryopsis as it is not a fern (had this before). Cheato apparently doesn't attach to anything.

It feels slightly thinner than cheato. Grows in long strands. Any ideas?

Don't mind the sand attached to it. I stirred up the sandbed the day before taking these photos.

Not sure of an Id, but I have seen it before and a Yellow tang usually eats it quickly...

I have the same stuff growing in some spots, I try to pull it off but it grows back. I just started with gfo as I am having a bit of algea bloom. See how the next few weeks go with gfo.

I think I solved my algae issue! I believe it is in fact Green Wiry Algae. I bought 2 emerald crabs yesterday and they have been eating it like it is spaghetti. Already cleared half a rock of it!

I'm happy!!

Checked the tank this morning....They must have been hungry last night. Almost the entire tank is clean of the algae! So happy right now! But now onto a cyano outbreak...ugh

Keep those emeralds very well fed. They can be quite opportunistic and may grad fish or coral. 10gal is nothing for them to clear.
