I have an Eshopps RS-1 sump, so not much room. The middle chamber houses my skimmer so no space there.
However, there is a section where you place black sponges, bubble trap I assume, just before return chamber.
Can I remove the sponge and use the plastic screen as an algae scrubber? Would get a small light to shine on it. Just not very large area, width would be about 12" and height 4" to 6" where screen would contact water.
