All-For-Reef vs 2-Part?

Now that I'm back in the game...there have been so many changes in the 12ish years I've been out. Previously I dosed BRS 2-Part and had good results. At least I think they were good lol.

Now I've heard about and come across All-For-Reef. Seems easier as it is one liquid for everything.

Trying to decide what is best for my 50. I welcome any and all feedback.

I used the liquid AFR with good results. I switched to the powder had issus mixing it, others did not. I gave up on AFR and went to 2 part.

I’m using the powder AFR and it’s been great. The large container last me about You get alot more for your money using the powder over the liquid. I do Consume a lot of alkalinity so instead of bumping up my AFR use I just supplement with my own alk solution to keep my numbers level. I purchased.l a magnetic stirrer which only takes me about 5 minutes to make the solution. I have seen no ill effects since switching from 2 part to AFR. I dose in my 120, 30 ml a day which comes out to 900ml a month. The large container is 1,000 liters so it will last me 10 months at 30ml a day.

I like AFR and Kalkwasser combo, like others say, AFR is expensive, so kalkwasser is a good companion for cost management and as a pH enhancer. I think a small amount of AFR with kalkwasser maxed out to close to evaporation rate then up your AFR is a pretty good strategy, at least works great for my tiny tanks and I think they would be more sensitive than anything.

Just don’t dilute AFR, when diluted, it can culture microbes that break it down and cause precipitation, takes some time to occur but definitely a hassle to deal with.

For small tanks 50 gallons or less i think I would just use all for reef.
For larger tanks I would do kalk.
Large tanks 100 gallons or more kalk and two part.
Or a calcium reactor.

I love my AFR. Once I got it dialed-in, my alkalinity and my calcium have been unusually stable.
