One day, Mark hired people to re-side his old cedar sided house.
The front looked like this...
The back looked like this...
Mark went off to work that morning at 9am.
He returned home 3 hours later to find his house naked.
It looked like this...
But, after only 3 days the builders finished.
The front of his house looked like this...
And the back of his house looked like this...
Mark was very happy.
His house looked nice.
His house was warmer.
BUT...
What Mark failed to realize was that he had, unknown to him, a massive colony of flying squirrels in his attic.
When the siding was put up, the hole the squirrels used to get out, and get food, was covered.
The squirrels were sad and had to find a new way out, they were going to explore!
So, the very night the house was finished, a flying squirrel ran across Mark's foot in the den.
Minutes later Mark hear a yell from his wife up in the bedroom.
Mark has, so far, caught 12 flying squirrels.
He caught 3 in the den, and 4 in the living room, and 2 in the kitchen, and 3 in the upstairs bedrooms.
He caught one in a flowerpot munching on a Cheerio.
Mark now comes down the stairs in the morning to scenes like this...
The squirrels put on shows at night, coming out of hiding very, very early and jumping and flying about the living room.
They have great fun knocking things over, looking for food, and pooping in all sorts of places.
So, remember. If you're getting your house re-sided, always check the #*&%ING ATTIC FIRST.
