And so the war begins

So I have had a 55 gal going for about 5 months now. Slowly I have ventures toward the sps side! I still maintain some lps such as acans, favia and Duncan's. Things are growing....and the proximity less and the price of real estate thought he roof. Last week I had a Dr Mac Mr green jeans attack a nice all red green acan. Liquified 2 polyps. Last night my Dr Mac acan ecinata...(no clue as to the variety) torched a section of my rapidly growing montipora spongiodies that grew too close for comfort. Bummer!

As I stated, so the war begins! I find myself being a UN peacekeeper by moving things around. But some day, the real estate market will be gone and I guess I will let nature take its course. I can at least be thankful the Corals are growing....and attacking!

I have to confess it was amazing to see! Never saw the spray of sweepers from this kind before. It was like a shot from spiderman, except the web was loaded with napalm!

It's a constant, on going, peace keeping effort in our tanks. As much as it stinks when a coral gets stung, it's equally as interesting to see the outcome.

The fact that some corals will eject their digestive tissue to basically eat competing corals is crazy.

Over the years ive learned who will and will not play nice in my tank.
