Been busy every night for the last few weeks again and the last thing I needed was a reef meltdown! :eek:

Came home on Tuesday night about the same time Cindy got home from work. "Where you going?" "Got to feed the fish honey, I'll be right with you."

2 hours later I kept my promise after I had to:

Attempt to rescue the LTA who decided to end his yearly walkabout in the intake of a Seio 820 by turning it off and seeing if the LTA would release.

Found the missing impeller for the Maxijet that I wanted to replace the Seio with until the LTA was free.

Install the maxijet.

Restart the Fluval that stalled when I shut off all the pumps to free the nem.

Give up on the idea that the LTA would free itself and use the jaws of life (screwdriver) to pry apart the strainer on the Seio and free the 'nem.

Give the injured party a bath in lugols to prevent infection.

Fix the wire on the actinics that broke while rescuing the LTA.

Find the other wire that broke while fixing the wire that broke while freeing the LTA.

Fix the second wire and make sure all the lights were working again.

Give the male ocellaris a flick on the nose for biting me more than a hundred times while trying to save his host.

Yep, it was one of those special reefing nights! ;D And I wanted to go to bed early. ::)

Oh if you find a group buy on some extra hours of sleep, I'm ALLL in! I've been missing some lately.

Glad to hear everything is doing well, in spite of the near collision between the anemone and the Seio. And the wires. And the nipping clown... Sounds like you could use a cold tasty adult beverage.

Bill, sorry to hear about this. That LTA was taking a long walk this year. He started when I was at your house. Bad anemone. ;)

Phyl, I would love to have a group buy on some extra hours of sleep, I'm ALLL in too! I've been missing some lately. Doug who is starting to feel really good with his sleep machine, is now trying to say that I have sleep apnea and need one too. ;D

He went away for a conference for 4 days, and I can honestly say that for the first time in 28+ years, I was a little happy to see him go (just a little). Three nights of sleep!!! YEAH!!! And the Good Lord help the child who wakes me up tonight. ;D

Same here. Even though it doesn't hurt at all when they nip, my hand still flinches it's kinda funny
