Any Idea if a Duncan can eat shrimp exoskeleton

I noticed a molt in my Duncan last night, and was curious what would happen. Plus I assumed my pistol shrimp usually was a big fan.

This morning it was gone. My pistol could have easily taken, but for some reason I want to believe my duncan did work.

It's possible if it was small enough, though i've had peppermint shrimp that would rip the food out of their mouths so i don't think their sting is all that powerful. It's possible the shrimp wasn't doing to well and getting hit with the duncan was the last straw. He may also be hiding, they do that for a bit after molting to build up their shells gain.

It was definitely just the shell because he was just chilling on his rock in a shiny new coat. He plankton jacks my duncan all the time so I am glad to see my Duncan gets something out of it. Just pretty proud if my duncan could take down the full shell. Or if this is something they would even eat.

I see, I may have misunderstood your first post then. My duncan can usually take a whole krill down, not sure how big your shrimp is or the shell it left behind, but if it can fit in it's mouth it will take it.
