I'm heating up the water as I'm about to attack this cyano issue going on in my tank. Any last minute suggestions? I know a few have recommended taping a tooth brush to the siphon (what I'm doing) its on the sand, rock & glass for reference.

I only ever had it on the sand. What I did was wait until it was REAL thick and put a cup in there and scoop it out. It held together fairly well when its a thick mat.
