I just read this. I would use the scan tool and reset any codes. Then try again to start and then again check codes. :).
I was just coming to update this. Scanned the truck last night and the only code showing comes back "lost communication with BCM". I'm hoping it can just be reprogrammed. Also hoping I can find a shop willing to let me just bring them the BCM to reprogram so I can avoid the cost of a tow, especially if it turns out it's totally fried and I need to replace it.

I had a similar situation where I was getting a no bus error. The car would run rough or stall. I went through all my fuses and didn't find anything. I checked all of the related issues that could have caused problems. All indications was a fuse, I eventually found a 15A fuse that had a hairline crack on the side I looked for the break in the middle where most fuses break, that was the cause intermittent issues. Double check the fuses carefully. Best regards.

Thanks Mike. Waiting to hear back from the dealership about the bcm. I'll recheck fuses tomorrow.

I'm still at a loss why leaving your key on would cause a BCM problem??? However, it certainly sounds like that's the problem. Give me a 54 Packard (that came with no electronics), that simply had two wires going to the engine. And here's the bizarre part, you could disconnect one of them, and the car still ran!

Im scratching my head on that one too Paul. From what I'm reading it has to do with the truck loosing power with the key in the "on" position. Beautiful car! At this point I may get a nice riding mower to ride on. Lol

Got the truck back tonight. Needed a new BCM. Needless to say I will be making sure the battery never goes dead again. Thanks for the advice everyone.
