Any Mortgage people??

Well, long story short, my Wife and I are parting ways. I would like to try and keep my home being I built it, but I am not sure the bank would loan me the money needed. I can make it barely on my income so it would be possible. Anyone work for a mortgage company who could look into it and crunch some numbers? If so, please PM me. We do have positive equity in it so I can sell worst case scenario. If it doesnt work look for a big for sale thread soon. Figures that the tankis actually doing well.....

hey paul, my wife and i just divorced also and i kept the house to, just barely making it on my own. she wasn't on the mortgage just the deed so all i need to do it have a new deed done to take her off then i can try and shoot for a refinance and not have to worry about it.

Sorry to hear it. Worked in lending so just some rough numbers your mortgage should be 25% roughly of your income, total debt 35-37% with about max of 40%.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. Not looking like i will be able to refinance on just my salary. Luckily I have equity in my home. Just sucks to sell all my hard work. We are not rushing into anything so I guess we will see what happens. We just both have not been happy. At first it was mutual but she is having second thoughts now.

Paul.. Marriage can be hard work sometimes.. take it from someone who has been married for 20 years.. I hope it works out for you either way.. BTW.. If it don't work out could you get a room mate?
