Well somehow I managed to get it working. I logged into the modem and in the advanced tab there was a "turn on ethernet ports" button. I clicked it and walah internet. I didn't know you could turn them off. But for 6 years I didn't think I had anything hardwired lol crazy. But thank you all for the advice and offers. And for allowing me to rant lol
