I'm not a licensed electrician, but when I was younger I worked for one. I went to school for three years for heating/refrigeration and air conditioning too. If you have room in the panel I can talk you through it. Its really not hard. You are close enough to me, to stop by and go over it.

I have one empty slot on the panel. That is to say there is one spot that still has the cover on it. What to do with it, no idea. I don't even know if I can add a circuit. Def gonna need a electrician on this.

Mark thank you for the offer, however one thing I don't do is electric. To be honest I'm not even willing to try. This is something if rather stay away from.

To give even more reason why I don't mess with this stuff. I have no idea what you guys are talking about. You might as well be speaking Latin.

The gauge of wire is related to the diameter of the copper wire. The bigger the wire the smaller the gauge number. The bigger the gauge the smaller the diameter of the copper wire. A bigger wire can handle more juice and not overheat/deform and worse start a fire. We have the same system with syringe needles....most shots are a 22 gauge....try a 14 and you are going for a core biopsy that would hurt like hell!

I use 14ga on trauma victims...you can dump a liter in someone in a couple of mins...

Its easier than setting up an RO/DI unit...Dance

Run wire and add electric box with GFI outlets and connect three wires. Snap in a new breaker...connect three wires. Done.

Ok, first pardon the mess. I only recently moved in this house 8yrs ago and haven't finished unpacking. Lol

Here is the rundown.

Here is the box. Space 29 is where I think I may be able to add the line

On this wall there is a closet that you can see the space behind the length of the wall

And the area where the equipment will be. Basically where the ladder is is where I want the line.

What do you think?

Paul. 20a requires 12ga wire! 15a is 14ga.

Oops! You're right....You'll have to excuse my mental slip, it's been over 30 years since I did this kind of stuff. All that I know is that I recently went to buy a 100 foot of wire and had to sell my first born to afford it. Man, has the cost of wire gone through the roof! It use to be cheap.

The costs on the copper stuff has doubled in the past few years. Wire is so expensive now that you really have to think and plan before doing anything.

Outlets are easy to install. If you want some help I will come hang out. I don't mind doing it.

John,Matt if you need a hand I would be happy to help I have done my fair share of commercial and residential electrical work

I hear you john. Ill run wire all day l9ng. But when it comes time to connect to the box I call someone in. I can come help run wire and outlets anytime. Im currently doing elec worrk myself with my fish room. Let me know.

It's really only 1 more step black or "hot" wire to breaker white to neutral bar or you share and green or bear to ground bar or ground screw

Ok, so thank you to all that have responded to help, it's much appreciated. I may be in touch with some or all of you.

Here is where I stand ATM. I spoke with a couple of electricians and basically I need to go through my basement to find out what is on that line. There is a slight chance that this line is unused ATM and if that's the case I may not have to put in a new one. While I'm at it I'm gonna re label the entire panel. Bringing a radio home from work and have a little fun with my son. I should know more tomorrow or Sunday.
