I could be wrong but it kinda looks like a favia growing over an sps skeleton

It's Australogyra zelli. Branching moon coral.

Mmmmmmmm..... I don't know hker99 it doesn't match any of the pictures out there of branching moon.

I've got the same coral and was told it was a branching favia. But I can't find any photos that look like it under either branching moon or branching favia. Anyway it is pretty neat looking.

I was at another reefers house picking up some coral one day and he had the exact same coral, he said it was a branching favia, so i would go with that. Was pretty tempting to pick it up but i passed, wish i had though, love the deep colors they can get.
