I've been recommended to try this out, supposedly a lot of LFS use it on their tanks to keep hair algae gone and fish mortality low. Anyone tried it?

ive heard unless you address the problem (high phosphates, nitrates whatever it may be) just killing the hair algae will result in another bad algae sprouting up to absorb those excess nutrients that are there in the first place
this takes away the excess nutrients so HA doesn't occur again. Once the HA is gone you use a maintenance dose once a month. So I hear anyway.
